Chemical Properties Yellowish white to reddish powder or crystals. It is soluble in water and hygroscopic and absorbs moisture or water from the air. Selenium oxide is incompatible with strong oxidising agents, reducing agents, strong acids, ammonia, organics, and phosphorus trichloride.
