  EMERGENCY OVERVIEW

Skin:
May cause skin irritation. May be harmful if absorbed through the skin. The toxicological properties of this material have not been fully investigated.
Ingestion:
Harmful if swallowed. All soluble arsenic (As) compounds are considered to be poisonous to humans. Inorganic arsenic is more toxic than organic arsenic. Organic arsenic is excreted more rapidly than inorganic arsenic. Arsenic 5+ is excreted more rapidly than arsenic 3+.
Inhalation:
Harmful if inhaled. May cause respiratory tract irritation. The toxicological properties of this substance have not been fully investigated.
Chronic:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause irritation. May cause liver and kidney damage. May cause digestive tract disturbances. NTP Chemical Status Report concludes that under the conditions of the 2-year feed studies, there was equivocal evidence of carcinogenic activity of roxarsone for male rats, as indicated by a marginally increased incidence of benign tumors of the pancreas. There was no evidence of carcinogenic activity for female rats. There was no evidence of carcinogenic activity for male or female mice fed diets containing 100 or 200 ppm roxarsone for 2 years.

Section 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
  Eyes: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical aid.
Skin:
In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
Get medical aid immediately. Wash clothing before reuse.
Ingestion:
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid.
Inhalation:
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid.
